Overall, this experience has been incredibly insightful and enriching. Engaging in this exercise allowed me to delve into someone else's "hero's journey" and understand the various stages and experiences that have shaped their life. It has provided an opportunity to learn about the unique obstacles, growth, and successes they have encountered throughout their journey and the lessons they have learned from these experiences.
The interview questions used in this project are quite deep enough to scratch the surface and convey where they are from, what their culture is and what word they choose to portray the emotions or the narrations. As I look towards others and my work, I realize even when we don't come from the same region or ethnicity; there is always something in the middle ground for us to agree on and cheer on. We are at a similar stage on Heroes Journey or even we can be at a completely different stage but able to learn from each other and understand their action to lead them to where they are now. It also supports the vision that each person's "hero's journey" is unique and deserving of credit, consideration, and celebration.
